You may even be able to tempt the anti Brussels sprouts brigade with this recipe – Brussels Sprouts in disguise!  It is very tasty and quick to prepare once you’ve done the slicing!

3 tbsp                    Sunflower oil

1                            Onion, finely chopped

2                            Garlic cloves, finely chopped

1                           Chilli, finely chopped

4cm piece            Fresh ginger, finely diced    

400g                     Brussels sprouts, shredded

1                          Lime, juiced

1 tbsp                  Soy Sauce.

  1. Heat the oil in a wok, add the onion, plus the garlic, chilli and ginger and fry quickly for about 2 minutes, without browning.
  2. Add the shredded sprouts and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add 3 tablespoons of water, cover and steam for 3 minutes.
  3. Then add the Soy Sauce and Lime juice and serve.
  4. You could even sprinkle some sesame seeds over to add a nutty flavour at the end.
