Among the most used pulses in British cooking, yellow peas have a satisfying flavour and texture, adding body to soups, stews, dals etc. Use naked yellow peas just like split peas – there are just some whole peas that will generally split in half when cooked.
Naked peas don't need soaking and cook down to a very soft consistency.
