Cherries (250g)
While there’s a time and a place for dried cherries, glacé cherries, and even the sort that come in tins, there’s nothing like shiny, shiny fresh ones. The smallest and perhaps most Epicurean of the stone fruit, you could pit them for a lattice topped pie or make a chocolate torte, but we bet the most you’ll manage is playing “tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor” with the remains once they’re all gone.
