Limes

Interestingly, limes come from several species of citrus tree. They are hybrids of the citron (think a neanderthal lemon), mandarin orange and pomelo, (for more on the complexity of this zingy family, have a read about clementines!)

Certain things just aren’t the same without their distinct aroma, and we don’t just mean a key lime pie or margarita. Where would Thai or Mexican food be? 

Add them to your order with some chillies and coriander from our farm and you can whip up a noodle soup on Monday, a plate of tacos on Tuesday and a satay sauce on Wednesday. Maybe a courgette and lime cake at the weekend? Lime on sweetcorn cobs is not to be forgotten either. 

Like the rest of our citrus, our limes are always unwaxed so you can zest away to your heart’s content.
