


Organic Mango
A good mango glows inside and is heady with perfume. Dress chunks with a squeeze of lime and you’ll surely be transported part of the way to paradise, even if its a drizzly British day and the news is depressing.
Our mangoes come from Spain during the European growing season and then from Fairtrade growers in locations such as Morocco, Burkina Faso and Peru. Order a few and make sorbet or team with coconut for a tropical smoothie (make it thick and eat from a bowl with toppings like granola).
The colour of a mango’s skin doesn’t necessarily correlate with readiness, so go by whether it has any ‘give’, and if you’ve got a really stubborn one, remember unripe mangoes are deliberately used in the East for savoury dishes like salads or fresh chutneys.
