Organic Watercress
Watercress is one of our staple salad brassicas during the autumn and winter.
Its hollow stems mean that in the wild it’s often found floating in streams and Barcombe legend (or myth?) has it that Adrian designed and built an innovative indoor water feature/sculpture/artificial river when we first started growing it, but no photos of this contraption seem to exist. It grows almost uncontrollably well in wet conditions, spilling onto pathways and it’s so popular we offer it as a separate product, ready for soup and sandwiches or salads.
We could tuck almost a whole bag inside a folded pancake or omelette; if you’re curious about plant-based alternatives try chickpea or buckwheat flour.
