Brassica Shoots

One thing we are always keen to explore here at Barcombe is how we can make the most of our crops. The side shoots of Cavolo Nero are the small, tender shoots that emerge from the main stem of the plant after the main head or top leaves have been harvested, particularly in late winter or early spring. And we currently have them in abundance! They are highly regarded for being tender and sweet, often described as being similar to tender stem broccoli.
