


Organic Loose Beetroot
There’s no match for the mood-boosting pink of beetroot, which makes even the washing up pretty. They’re an amazing source of folate (vitamin B9) which is essential for blood vessel function and store well, bringing brightness to an otherwise quite beige array of winter roots.
Their earthy sweetness is brought to life with acidity, either from vinegar (which explains the enduring appeal of the pickled kind) or citrus (think a beetroot and orange salad). They pair beautifully with something creamy like feta cheese or coconut milk in a curry- if you’re sceptical, trust us! Less obviously, beetroot works unbelievably well with chocolate, so we love it in brownies as well as to make Borscht; we also recommend blitzing roasted chunks in your houmous.
