Blood Oranges

You can’t tell from the outside, but segments of blood orange can blush in an ombre of pink and orange, be flecked with red like an abstract painting or, deep purple all over, ooze drama.

Their colour means they look spectacular sliced in rounds, rather than incorporated in cooking. How about making a salad with similarly hued chicory?
